This week is National Pollinator Week.  Who knew pollinators had their own week?  It was actually ten years ago that the U.S. Senate designated a week in June to be "National Pollinator Week."  This was done to address the decline of the pollinator population and their vital role in our ecosystem.  You can learn more about National Pollinator Week and more about pollinators from the The Pollinator Partnership.   

You can do your part by planting flowers and plants that attract pollinators like bees and butterflies.
